Jason Lin, DDS

Pediatric Dentist

From an early age, I've always known I wanted to work with families and kids. Raising children truly takes a village and the impact that mentorship provides to the next generations means the world to me. Later on, I decided to pursue dentistry as it provides immediate care, relief, and, of course, the widest smiles. What better way to combine my two passions than to pursue pediatric dentistry! I am honored to have the privilege to make an impact on one's oral health so early on in life, something that will make lasting effects long into the future.

I grew up in Huntersville, right North of Charlotte, and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with a dual degree in Biology and Anthropology with Honors and Distinction. Then, I moved right down the street and received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. I loved it so much that I stuck around and completed my pediatric dental residency there. What's unique about this residency is that it is one of the few three-year programs in the United States. Therefore, I was able to train for an additional year, gaining proficiency in oral conscious sedation, general anesthesia, dental trauma, growth and development, minimally-invasive techniques, working with kiddos with special health care needs, and providing comprehensive and long-term care. During the same time, I was also fortunate enough to obtain my Master of Public Health degree at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. There, I was able to view dentistry at a systems-level, understanding that there are so many factors that impact a child's oral health and promising to address those as much as I can. As you can tell, I am extremely proud to be a quadruple Tar Heel!

Outside of dentistry, I love to spend time with my wife, watching movies (ask me what my favorites are), playing pickleball, attempting to cook to then ultimately eat out at our favorite restaurants, and chanting "TAR! HEEL!" whenever we can. Our favorite Saturdays involve doing crosswords and playing board games with our friends from church.

It is my absolute pleasure to work alongside Dr. Amy, her team, and you to provide exceptional care to your children. I will strive to make the dental environment a safe, warm, and fun place to create long-lasting positive memories for years to come. I am truly excited to meet you all very soon!
